Good Grounds Coffee Roasters is looking for a friendly, reliable Part-Time Barista to join our team! We roast our own beans in Tampa and serve our community from our trailer in Wesley Chapel (plus occasional off-site events). No previous barista experience needed — we'll train you from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Customer Service & Drinks
- Prepare and serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, and other beverages that meet quality standards
- Dial in espresso shots and adjust for freshness, grind, and taste
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings and educate customers about our coffee, brewing methods, and bean origins
- Sell retail coffee beans and merchandise
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and timely manner
- Handle credit card payments and operate POS System
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently
- Build friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
Opening & Closing Duties
- Open and close the trailer, including full setup and shutdown procedures
- Clean and sanitize equipment, workspace, and trailer
- Basic Coffee Equipment maintenance
- Dial in espresso and prep drip coffee for the day
- Take inventory of coffee, milk, cups, and supplies

Additional Responsibilities
- Occasionally assist with roastery tasks in Tampa as needed
- Represent Good Grounds at off-site events outside of Wesley Chapel when scheduled
Schedule
- 12–20 hours per week, depending on business needs
- Typical shifts fall between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Monday–Saturday availability preferred; 2–4 days per week
Pay
- $16.50/hour + tips + bonus opportunities
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a background check
- No previous barista experience required — full training provided
- Reliable transportation to Wesley Chapel (and occasionally Tampa/event locations)
- Comfortable working outdoors/in a trailer setting, including light equipment maintenance (e.g., generator fueling, waste water removal).
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
